Bank of America to Close 10 Percent of Branches
The bank states the closings won’t affect customer access much. Too bad banks don’t reduce the price of their stock (money) and sell it until everything is gone. That would be awesome. A girl can daydream, can’t she?

Feeling Frustrated?
I sure am! It is just one of those weeks for me. Sure, being unemployed isn’t that bad. It’s summer, and I get to enjoy not having to wake up early every morning. Even better, I don’t have to wake up to go to a job I detest. But I’m starting to feel…useless. While I’m usually confident that I’ll eventually find a job, lately I haven’t been so sure. I feel like I’m sending my résumé and cover letter into a black hole. A few weeks ago, I received a rejection letter for a job I applied for that stated they had over 1,000 applicants! Okay, it was for two positions, but 1 out of 500 is still a long shot. A really, really long shot.
I want to work hard. I want to earn money! Can somebody pretty please hire me already and let me do that?

Japanese Women Turn to Flirting for Money
With layoffs galore and so few jobs in Japan, more women are turning to an unconventional method of making money: hostessing. In fact, the career path is even becoming more and more coveted, with the best hostesses making $300,000 a year.
Too bad we don’t have that in the States. It doesn’t sound bad at all—no nudity, no sex—just conversation and companionship. Then again, who knows how annoying these businessmen can be.
